New Name Same Business For Gladstone Area Group Apprentices Limited

New identity for leading future workforce provider

Tuesday, 26th of November 2019: Gladstone Area Group Apprentices Limited, a market leader in the
provision of Apprentices and Trainees, has changed its name to Apprentices and Trainees
Queensland. This name change accurately reflects the business progression from Gladstone centric, to regionally dominated, with a Queensland capability. The business commenced on the 18th April
1985 and the following 34 years of sustained growth has produced a Group Training Organisation
with offices and training facilities in Gladstone, Rockhampton and Biloela; staffed by locals for locals.
“We remove the pressure of employing apprentices and trainees to produce SAFE, PRODUCTIVE, QUALITY tradespeople for the future”

This name change to Apprentices and Trainees Queensland comes as the company continues to strengthen its market position, in particular with hosted apprentices. In fact, over 89% of our clients choose to host their apprentices or trainees with Apprentices and Trainees Queensland. The business is ideally positioned to respond to the changing demand from hosts, apprentices and trainees.

CEO Michael Walz said “the re-branding is like giving a Rolls Royce a paint job. The agility, tenacity and vigour of the 34-year-old organisation remain unchanged and we continue to develop services with our stakeholders in mind. Further, we strive to lift our standards to exceed client expectations and lead the industry.”

Board Chairman Peter Corones AM said “I am so proud to lead an organisation co-started by long standing Mayor Col Brown. Over the past 34 years, Apprentices and Trainees Queensland have produced thousands of tradespeople. Without Apprentices and Trainees Queensland the skills shortage we currently face would be severe.”
