Formerly known as GAGAL, Apprentices And Trainees Queensland (ATQLD) is a not for profit Group Training Organisation whose core business is providing apprentices and trainees to businesses throughout Central Queensland. With a strong 37 years of experience, ATQLD is known to be the go to GTO in Central Queensland.

With offices in Gladstone, Biloela and Rockhampton, ATQLD, is able to provide timely support for industry and the community in Central Queensland.

ATQLD has a history of innovation and responsiveness to issues that impact on regional Queensland and is proud of and grateful for the support that is received from both industry and the community. ATQLD has gained a reputation for commitment, performance and work ethic within industry and the community of the Central Queensland region. ATQLD was instrumental in developing the School Based Apprenticeship model that is so popular today.

Gladstone Technical Training Centre (GTTC), located on our site in Gladstone is a professional location for the training of locals in our community and industry, the workshops are ideal for “hands on” skills training and the training rooms are set up for any training purpose.

The Banana Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Centre in Biloela provides vital support to the resource sector of the Callide and Dawson Valleys, as well as providing training opportunities for the community. The Centre delivers off the job training in diesel fitting, fitting & turning, electrical and boilermaking to apprentices from throughout the region.
